Prayer Team

** If you have any questions on Sunday please contact a member of our Prayer Team leadership: Nick Burdette, Bea Thomas or Karl Thomas. Their numbers are in the Church Center Directory‬. All people who serve on the Prayer Team for the first time must either go through a short training session with a member of our Prayer Team leadership or work alongside an experienced member. **

THE JOB: Working in teams of two, you will pray and listen to the concerns or joys of individuals in our community.

WHEN: Stay after the worship service and pray with all individuals, couples and families that stay after for prayer.

HOW:

SET UP STATION: Immediately after the service, setup four chairs in the front of the sanctuary to the right.

OPEN IN PRAYER: Before welcoming people waiting to pray, open in prayer with your team member asking God’s Holy Spirit to guide you and be with those you will pray with.
INVITE PEOPLE ONE AT A TIME: Warmly and quietly welcome those waiting for prayer, remembering that you are Jesus’ hands and feet at what may be a difficult moment for them.
LISTEN: Ask how you can pray for them today. Listen. DO NOT GIVE ADVICE.
PRAY: Pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
