John's Bio
John Creasy is the Associate Pastor for the Open Door. He serves the Open Door by leading the band, equipping new members to use gifts and explore their dreams, and by developing and implement ways for the Open Door to serve the larger community in which we find ourselves. He also works closely with BJ Woodworth designing worship and brainstorming and implementing ways to make the church more missional.
In August of 2005 John and his wife Alyssa had their first child, Téah Jane. Currently the family is working hard to restore the oldest house in East Liberty and make a home for themselves. They hope to use the home to encourage community and hospitality in the Open Door. John and Alyssa are part of a band called This Side of Eve which has released two albums and plays in the local venues and clubs of Pittsburgh. John graduated in May of 2006 from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. In his spare time you can find him working on their house, playing and creating music, enjoying nature, sharing a cup of coffee or a beer with a friend or cycling up and down the hills of Pittsburgh. But not all at the same time.
