Brock's Bio
I am a married man of almost five years to a lovely redhead named Amber with our first child on the way. Originally from Lafayette, Indiana, we relocated a year ago to Pittsburgh so I could pursue a master’s degree in philosophy at Duquesne University. The Open Door was the second church we visited since moving to Pittsburgh, and we haven’t been anywhere else since. I’m thankful for such a community where those (like myself) recovering from church can wrestle and struggle with this crazy thing called Christianity.

Vision & prayer for the Open Door
Over the next year, I would like to see the Open Door develop (1) a clearer vision of who the Open Door is, why/for whom it exists, and its unique context and giftedness; (2) a more intentional structure for welcoming new people to our gathering and engaging Covenant Partners in holistic transformation into the image of Christ; (3) a better understanding of what it means to be committed to the Open Door (especially in a church largely composed of students); (4) and a unified commitment towards a handful of ministries/partnerships we as a community can come alongside with full support.
